List of common factors in this blog

Aberdeen – where I live. on the North-East coast of Scotland. Also known as the granite city, for a large abundance of buildings made out of the stuff.

Edinburgh – where I grew up, in Leith to be specific. capital city of Scotland, and it’s also on the east coast, but a bit south of Aberdeen (about 135 miles).

AUSHAS – Aberdeen University Secular, Humanist and Atheist Society, created in 2008, and I have been the secretary since March 2008, and became vice president in October 2008. We put on events every week, and it is quite often me that runs them.

AUSA – Aberdeen University Student Association – student representation for AU students. They have  lot of committees in thier structure, including Environment and Ethics, Welfare, Equal Ops, Sports, Societies, Education.

Nooreen – friend and president of AUSHAS. She blogs at stressaholics anonymous.

Kathryn – flatmate, she blogs, but I won’t explicitly state where, as she’ll possibly kill me.

Vicky – flatmate, dirty sense of humour.

Mum – social worker, bit of a techno phobe. can occasionally drive me round the bend for no great reason other than she is my mum, and despite raising me for 20 years seems to have no idea what gets on my nerves. Love her anyway.

Dad – works on computer databases for Edinburgh Uni, so definitely not a techno-phobe. Tends to have a better way of speaking to me about things than my mum. Has a girlfriend, which can be a touchy issue.
